What’s up, folks! Several weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting the band DEATH (recently acknowledged as preceding the “punk movement” by at least 5 years). We talked after their performance at Europa in Greenpoint, Brooklyn on April 2nd with their son’s band Rough Francis and Sister Anne . The interview is short, but offers great insight to the phenomena of their unexpected re-emergence after nearly 35 years! Thanks to Bevis Griffin “The Black Rock Maverick” of Texas, I got to rap with these gentlemen who never stopped playing music and whose sons continue in their tradition! Also coming up is the 4-part interview I had with Bevis Griffin who has been an important influence on the culture of music in Texas since the 1970′s.
